Officers and fire medics responded to the 2200 block of Fairview Avenue about 10 p.m. July 26 in reference to a person shot. Police discovered Ziegler with a fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene, Capt. Saba Coleman said.

Montgomery police are searching for information about this blue, Ford Expedition and the woman last seen driving it.

According to a news release from CrimeStoppers, police are seeking information regarding the suspect’s vehicle and identification of anyone known to drive it. The blue Ford Expedition had a switched Alabama license plate with a tag reading 3BH2542 at the time of the shooting. 

The vehicle is also missing “a center cap, and the tag is hanging from the bumper of the vehicle.” The vehicle was last seen occupied by a Black woman, wearing a white T-shirt and black pants and a bonnet on her head.
