50 Cent has issued an apology to Megan Thee Stallion for joking about her shooting.

On Monday (27 July), Megan appeared on Instagram Live where she revealed she had been shot in both feet in what she described as “the worst experience of my life”.

50, who had previously reposted a meme about the incident online, shared a clip from Megan’s video to his own feed as a form of apology.

“Damn I didn’t think this s*** was real, it sounded so crazy @theestallion,” he wrote. “I’m glad your [sic] feeling better and I hope you can accept my apology.”

He continued: “I posted a meme that was floating around. I wouldn’t have done that if I knew you was really hurt sorry.”

On 12 July, Megan and another woman were in a car in Los Angeles with rapper Tory Lanez after attending a party in the Hollywood Hills, when he was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon.

Early reports said that the rapper had cut her feet on broken glass in the car, with surveillance footage of the incident showing her limping from the vehicle and leaving bloody footprints.

During her emotional Instagram Live, Megan said that there was “nothing to joke about” as she revealed that she had needed surgery to have the bullets removed and that she was fortunate they missed any tendons or bones.

“It’s nothing to make up fake stories about,” Megan said. “I didn’t put my hands on nobody. I didn’t deserve to get shot. I didn’t do s***.”

Los Angeles police have opened an investigation into the incident.
